Labor Day weekend at the mall is hellaciously zoo-like.
I had a lovely day at work that included at least 750 people, in my little store, in less than six hours. Insane. (fyi: I work at an overpriced handbag boutique) I also got to work the sidewalk sale, which consisted of me, standing outside in the heat, for an hour at a time. That was fun.
On the bright side, (the really bright side), corporate announced today that all of our employees are being given 50% off, and then an additional 30% off a handbag and a wallet. This means I can finally get my favorite little handybaggy thing for almost nothing. Sweeeeet. They also told us that our employee discount is going to be raised to 50% off, which is also crazy sweet. I know this doesn't interest anyone other than me, but it's exciting, and I'm a happy camper.
I'm ready to be at school. More than ready...anxious, even. I hadn't actually realized how close it is until I looked at a calendar today. 11 days until I move in. It's go time, folks.
I've been staying up far too late the past few evenings, reading until 3 or 4 in the morning.
I think tonight is a good night to go to bed relatively early...so, I'm aiming for 2ish.
